# 1. Alternate Nostril Breathing practicing this breathing may  calms the mind, help sleep and depression. It balances left and right hemisphere of the brain. This Breathing may reduce hunger and help with appetite control. (Breaths must be comfortable, if you get dizzy stop! ). Practice 1-3 minutes,  1 to 2 times a day.   

#2. Yogic Abdominal Breathing (Breath of Fire) Designed to detox and  cleans the body from mucous, toxins and helps bowl movement. May facilitate weight loss. Avoid, if pregnant, consult MD.

#3.  Cobra Posture. Yogis believe that this posture can benefit stomach, lower back pains and neck. Cobra also brings energy to the lower abdomen, spleen and liver and heart.  May be beneficial for insomnia stress and fertility. 

# 4.  Spinal Twist.  This Yoga posture helps the spine from the neck to low back, digestion, constipation. May help fertility, stress and many autoimmune problems.

Good at any time especially after heavy meals and As an option you may sprinkle your oatmeal with either walnuts, pine nuts, fles seed, raisings (all of the above)  or just about anything you like. Antioxidant Salad.  (A good way to get your vitamins in 15 min or less. In Winter time may want to add walnuts.)  Vitamins will NEVER substitute a good meal.  
 
Ingredients: Tomatoes, Avocados, Yellow Peppers, Pine Nuts, Olive Oil, Vinegar.  Full of Antioxidants and natural vitamins. For health and weight loss.

Special (quick) antioxidant drink:
Over 15 clinical studies show that drinking 8
ounces of cranberry juice cocktail per day significantly
reduce or prevent urinary tract infections.

Studies also show that freeze-dried cranberry juice in
capsule form can be equally effective as a glass of
juice, provided the capsules are taken with water.
Other studies have found that cranberries are high in antioxidants and flavonoids and can help prevent kidney stones, stomach ulcers, gum disease, arteriosclerosis and cancer.
Cranberries are also full of vitamin C. Because of the red color of cranberries, according to Chinese Medicine the Heart will reap the benefits as well.
 
My secret recipe:
Cranberries (5-10, Per Cup)
Green Tea (1 Tea Bag per 3-4 cups steep 5 min)
Orange or Tangerine Peel (1 medium)
(Ginger 1 thin slices /Winter Time) or (Mint/Summer Time
*** All amounts are per cup***

Put all ingredients (except Green tea bag or Mint) in the water
and bring it to a boil. * Add Green Tea (Mint or any other natural tea) at the end for 5 min. Chill, strain, serve...

Green Tea to Loose Weight

GREEN TEA is Chinese Medicine's time tested drink.  It enters Chinese Live Meridian or Channel, so it benefits the Liver. Studies have shown that this beverage can benefit Stomach and the Lungs. It was found in many studies that green tea helped stomach and cancer patients live longer.  Green tea has vitamin E and C and is full of chlorophyll.  *** Try getting organic tea bags or loose tea. Do not steam for more than 3-5 minutes as it becomes bitter. 
 
Green Tea can also help reduce weight.
Green Tea drunk 3-6 cups a day can not only reduce the stress and toxins, but is also shown to reduce weight and detox the body. ( If you're caffeine sensitive stop drinking after 3-4pm in order to get a sound sleep).  Japanese Green Tea  "Sencha" in my opinion is the best. EXERCIESES:

You will need to burn your calories of course.  The Yogic breathing described above gives you exercises for your internal organs and will help optimize your metabolism.  Walking 30-60 min a day is good.

KETTLEBELLS - Ultimate Workout

One of the best ways to get in shape, tone your body and loose weight at the same time is KETTLEBELLS. I am personally completely sold on it. I used to have them as a kid back in Russia and now bought them again. This new phenomena is sweeping USA for a good reason. They provide aerobic and weight training at the same time. Some of the movements like Swings between legs, not only tone your leg and buttocks, stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments but they also do Foot massages (reflexology).  3-6 minutes of those babies a day or even every other day gets you in great shape.  Kettle Bells offer in house or office Gym any time. No hassle and, no exuses.  Generally speaking for Men starting weight is 35lb, for women 10-18lb. You may go lower or higher depending on your level of fitness. Strongly recommended to check with your MD before starting this type of conditioning.

SIT UPs

Another great way to loose inches off your waist is to do sit ups or any abdominal strengthening exercises. Stronger abdominal muscles flattent the stomach and make it smaller.

Smaller stomach, means less food will fit in !

 

 
Self help and wellness does require planning and some time allocation.  The benefits however will be enjoyed long term and will enhance your personal, mental and spiritual bell being.  How much does good health cost?  What is the price of well being?  "PRICELESS".   So find 10-15 min a day to celebrate YOU.
