CHINESE HERBS FOR HEALTH
Herbology is a major part of Chinese Medicine. Herbs are often used together with Acupuncture for internal, deep
seated immune or weak conditions.
Acupuncture is very good at moving stagnant/blocked energy, but Chinese Herbs are
best at tonifying/strengthening and breaking up stagnation and blockages due to blood stasis and obstructions. Examples of
Blood induced problems would be: Endometriosis, Fibroid, Ovarian or Uterine Cysts even Cancerous Tumors.
Chinese Herbs offer Internal Support to the Immune System
enhancing Acupuncture's Energy balancing properties. Some believe that any chronic condition creates a blood stasis,
so then according to this theory Chinese Herbs would find good use in any problem lasting 3 months or more.
Injuries or Chronic Pain would also be a great beneficiary
of Chinese Herbs as well. Painful chronic conditions such as back pain, injuries or knee pain would benefit from
a combination of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs.
Some
of the herbs are pleasant and some may have a strong heavy or bitter taste. Generally, Raw Chinese Herbs are boiled from
20-40 min (some times for over an hour).
Chinese Herbs also come in a form of powders, tablets or tinctures. Best results will always
be achieved with raw herbs as they are absorbed best by the system and unlike other forms of medicinals can be individually
customized. Other forms of herbs are good if the patient is not willing or able to boil the raw ones or is often traveling.
Some Chinese Herbs have a strong or bitter taste. It is
no Coca Cola, for sure. However, they are medicinals that can help one avoid a surgery or illness and for that purpose
it is worth to close your nose and just drink them, may be with a touch of honey if necessary.
One of the
major benefits of using Herbal Remedies is that you can take you medicine a few times a day to produce a powerful changes
in your body. That is like having your practitioner come to you few times a day.
